• Depth of the inspection: a quick visual check versus 130 points with measurements and a scan.
• Tools used: paint thickness meter, a proper OBD scanner, lifting or looking underneath.
• Location: mobile inspections add travel time. Some providers charge extra for distant areas.
• Report quality: a written PDF with photos costs more than a verbal opinion, but you can use it to negotiate.
